The Digital Humanities Initiative at Cornell is powered by an interdisciplinary group of faculty, graduate students, and staff working to promote the digital humanities on campus.
Digital humanities names a wide range of computational, digital, and data-driven approaches to the study of history, languages, and culture. Our group includes members from the College of Arts & Sciences, the Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science, and Digital Scholarship Services at the Cornell University Library. We are funded in 2025-26 by the CIVIC Initiative.
This year we are hosting a series of public events, including colloquia featuring Cornell faculty and graduate students and lectures by visiting speakers. We welcome campus community members from all disciplines and all levels. Join our listserv (digital-humanities-L) to stay informed about our latest news and events.
